چشم به راه

   Anas Ibn Rafa came to Mecca along with a group of persons belonging to the tribe of Bani Abdul Ashhal and Ayyas Ibn Maaz was amongst them.
   Their object was to seek military assistance from the Quraish to fight against the Kharijites.

   The Prophet (S.) joined their meeting and explained his religion to them and also recited some verses from the Quran for them.
   Ayyas, who was a courageous man, stood up and embraced Islam and said, " This religion is better than the assistance of the Quraish for which you have come here, ( He meant that Islam is a surety for all-round prosperity, because, it roots out homicide and all factors of destruction and deceit ).
   Acceptance of Islam by this man without the inclination of the head of the tribe, made Anas very angry.
   To quench his uneasiness, he took send in both of his hands, threw it on the face of Ayyas and said, " Keep quiet! We have come here to seek assistance from the Quraish and not to embrace the religion of Islam " The Prophet (S.) then got up to leave, later the said group returned to Medina.
   The Battle of Buath took place between Ows and Khazraj.Ayyas, who remained steadfast in his faith till the last moment of his life, was killed in this battle.

   Tariq Moharibi has said, " I saw the Holy Prophet saying, in a loud voive, to the people, " O people ! Say there is no god but God so you would find salvation. " (1)

   He urged the people to submit to Islam and become monotheists while Abu Lahab, his uncl , followed him step by step and threw stones at him so that his leg was covered with blood, but the Holy Prophet (s.) continusd to guide the people and show them the path of etemal salvation and prosperity . Abu Lahab cried out , " People ! this man is a liar. Do not listen to him. "

   During the period of the Holy Prophet,s (s.) illness, he used to come into the mosque every now and then, and to offerprayers along with the people, and also talking about some matters.

   One one of those, he arrived at the mosque while he had tied a piect of cloth on his head.

   Ali and Fadl Ibn Abbas had placed their hands under his arm-pits, and he was walking with dragging feet.

   He mounted the pulpit and began to speak, saying, " O people the time has arrived when I should leave you.

   If I have made a promise with anyone, I am prepared to fulfil it, and if I owe something to somebody, he should speak out, so that I may pay him.

   At this moment, a man stood up and said, " You promised me sometime back, that if I married, you would help me with money.

   In the Hudaibyyah peace agreement, the Qurash had promised the Holy Prophet of Islam not to transgress or oppress Muslims and their confederators, but they violated the agreement and helped the Bani Bakr tribe to destroy the Khaza,ah tribe which was one of the confederators of the Muslims.

   To hamper their aggression, the Prophet stared to Mecca unaware, entered Mecca with an elaborate device and conquered this city.
   Then he made a pilgrimage to God,s House, the Ka,bah and delivered a historical speech in which he declared. " You should beware that you have been bad neighbors for God,s Prophet. You refuted us, tormented, expelled us from our homeland and yet didn,t content yourselvesv with so much torture and troublemaking and even didn,t let us have peace in Medina and attempted to fight us. But inspite of all this, I set you all free ( and let you go unpunished.)
